Setting up the account with EBS

When registering for an account, your domain name has to be registered with EBS before using this Gateway, and if you use the "HTTPS" secure URL then you need to provide this to EBS also.

Setting up this Gateway within the site administration

To set up this gateway, log into your site, navigate to eCommerce -> Payment gateways, select this gateway from the dropdown list, and enter the requested information.


Additionally, EBS requires some mandatory fields in your online shop checkout form, so you will need to ensure you collect these details in the registration process....


  • Firstname
  • Lastname
  • Email
  • Phone Number ('Customer Work Phone Number field')
  • Billing details (Address,City,Country,PostCode)

Setting up for Recurring Billing (If required)

The implementation of this payment gateway does not support recurring billing



You can not use non-seamless gateway, such as EBS payment gateway on web forms. Non-seamless gateways can only be used in conjunction with a shopping cart. 

If you need to take payments via Web Forms, you will need to use one of the seamless gateways, or offline processing in this case.

There are no known "common" setup issues with this gateway.
